- American National Standards
Institute
ANSI is a private, nonprofit organization that coordinates the United States voluntary consensus standards
system and approves American national standards. ANSI is the sole U.S. representative and dues-paying
member of ISO and IEC.

ASME has 36 technical divisions and four institutes. Each division serves
a specific discipline of mechanical engineering. It conducts technical
